Description
Wolfgang, the eldest son of the Lehman ducal family, realized as a child that he had been reincarnated as the father of the villainess from an otome game called Fantasia: The Ballad of the Azure Maiden. Due to certain circumstances, Wolfgang was unable to use magic properly, leading his parents to abandon the idea of him inheriting the duchy. Instead, they decided he would manage the Count of Zonta territory, which was under the administration of the Lehman Duchy. However, fate took a turn when his parents died in an accident, leaving behind his younger brother, the heir to the duchy, who was still a child. With no other choice, Wolfgang stepped in as the acting duke until his brother could graduate from the academy and officially come of age.
Following the game’s storyline, Wolfgang married his beloved wife and had a daughter, Louise. Tragically, his wife succumbed to a devastating illness. According to the game, Louise was supposed to grow into a tantrum-throwing, selfish duke’s daughter. But Wolfgang’s personality was entirely different from the in-game version of himself, and because of his unique approach to parenting, Louise’s upbringing veered away from her predetermined fate, allowing her to grow into a kind and thoughtful young woman instead. To complicate matters further, events that never occurred in the game began to unfold, revealing that this world was not a perfect replica of the game. Wolfgang assumed that, as a count’s daughter, Louise would not be engaged to the crown prince like in the game’s storyline. Unfortunately, his good intentions backfired, and Louise ended up betrothed to the crown prince anyway.
While Louise had become vastly different from the villainess of the game, the crown prince remained exactly the same as his in-game counterpart. At this rate, if the game’s heroine appeared, Wolfgang feared his beloved daughter might still be falsely accused and publicly humiliated. Determined to prevent this, he resolves to come up with countermeasures. The story follows this devoted father’s struggle to protect his daughter from her destined fate as a villainess, leading to an unexpected beginning of a new romance.
