Description
A tired office worker in her thirties named Yoshida, whose favorite phrase is I want to die, finds her life unexpectedly interrupted when she is possessed by the ghost of a Heisei-era idol. This idol died suddenly twenty years ago, a shocking event that made headlines across the world. Despite the ghost's difficult personality and arrogant way of speaking, it shows a strange concern for its unwilling host, asking why it would end up possessing someone so eager to die. The spirit then begins a persistent campaign to force Yoshida into living a healthier and more orderly life.
The story unfolds as a horror romantic comedy set against the contrast of a worn-down Reiwa-era office lady and the lingering spirit of a glamorous idol from the previous era. The central conflict arises from Yoshida's deep-seated wish for death and the ghost's unwavering determination to prevent that from happening, simply because it refuses to be associated with a host who gives up on life. As the arrogant idol constantly interferes in her daily routine, from her diet to her mindset, Yoshida finds herself confused and gradually pulled into the ghost's pace without realizing it. The core dynamic is this push-and-pull relationship, where the ghost's bossy concern inadvertently drags Yoshida back from the edge, creating a scenario where once again, she finds herself unable to die.
