In the year 2925, humanity has expanded into space, encountering other races and engaging in trade, governance, and war to satisfy its greed. Shu Kisaragi is a reincarnated individual and a pilot of Armored Walkers, humanoid general-purpose mobile weapons. Despite his skills, he experiences a crushing defeat against an overwhelmingly powerful enemy Armored Walker that turns the battlefield into a one-sided massacre. He is fortunate to be overlooked and survives, but this event profoundly alters his fate.
