A young broom craftsman named Kiyomu living in the countryside is suddenly transported to the Taisho era. There, he finds the Teito Osōji Hōshi-dan, a group of four girls who fight daily against grotesque monsters to protect the imperial capital. The battles cause a dangerous form of spiritual impurity called gomi-shū to accumulate on the girls bodies. It is discovered that Kiyomu possesses a unique power to remove this impurity, a task he performs using his broom. He takes on the role of cleansing the girls, leading to a Taisho romantic erotic comedy.

The story follows Kiyomu as he becomes an essential support for the team. As he works to purify the girls night and day, a more powerful enemy than any they have faced before appears. Later, Kiyomu is seduced and kidnapped by a mysterious boy named Spunya, prompting the cleaning service group to mount a rescue operation. After being saved, Kiyomu is then abducted by a hostile organization. Upon being rescued again, he encounters a woman named Tomie who asks him to hide her. Later, after saving the groups参谋 (staff officer) Tasuki, a lavish celebration is held where Kiyomu is pressed by all the girls to decide which one of them he will marry.
