Kamikosugi Sousuke is a 28-year-old self-employed freelancer who has lived most of his life as a recluse, unable to form meaningful connections with other people. His isolated existence is upended when an android who looks like a high school girl suddenly appears and asks him to teach her what it means to be human. The android, known as Roboko-san, is a highly advanced machine but lacks any understanding of human emotions, social norms, or everyday life. Sousuke, who is often called a human scum by others due to his antisocial behavior, is ironically the least qualified person to explain humanity. Nevertheless, the two begin a strange and troublesome life living together. Through a series of comedic and awkward episodes, they explore fundamental questions about what it means to be human, often clashing over misunderstandings of basic social interactions. Sousuke’s hermit tendencies clash with Roboko-san’s literal and naive interpretations of the world, leading to both humorous friction and moments of unexpected growth.
