Maneki Sasoi has been cursed since childhood with a bizarre and dangerous condition: she involuntarily attracts the most disturbed people society has to offer. These are not merely eccentric strangers—they are individuals who commit weird, violent, and shameless acts, the kind you might glimpse on the street and quickly look away from. But Maneki cannot look away; she is a magnet for their attention, and her life is a constant cycle of predation and survival. However, Maneki is not a passive victim. Within her exists a separate personality named Kudaki Mukai, a ruthless and aggressive alter ego that emerges specifically to confront the worst of the “crazy people” Maneki draws in. Where Maneki attracts, Kudaki retaliates, delivering over-the-top, violent, and often grimly creative punishments. The story follows this twisted dynamic as Maneki and Kudaki navigate a world filled with stalkers, predators, and genuine lunatics, turning the tables on those who would harm them. The narrative is structured around encounters with different dangerous individuals, each arc showcasing a new threat that Maneki inadvertently summons and Kudaki brutally neutralises.
