In the aftermath of the Siege of Osaka (1614–1615), as Osaka Castle crumbles and the Toyotomi clan faces extinction, the warlord Sanada Yukimura devises a desperate gambit to preserve the fallen house's bloodline. He orders five kunoichi, female ninja of exceptional skill, to each conceive a child of Toyotomi Hideyori. The women escape the burning castle disguised as attendants of Princess Sen, the granddaughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu who was married into the Toyotomi family. When Ieyasu learns that the fleeing party includes pregnant kunoichi carrying Hideyori's heirs, he demands that Princess Sen surrender them. She refuses, declaring that killing the women would mean her own death. Unable to force his beloved granddaughter, Ieyasu consults his retainer Hattori Hanzō, who summons five elite male ninja from the Iga Tsubagakure village to eliminate the kunoichi and their unborn charges. The story unfolds as a brutal contest between the two groups, each wielding specialized and often eroticized ninja techniques. The Sanada kunoichi include practitioners of techniques such as the Moon Ring (忍法月の輪), the Tube Drain (忍法筒枯らし), and the Celestial Maiden Shell (忍法天女貝), among others. One of the five failed to conceive, adding a layer of personal tragedy to the mission. The narrative arcs through a series of confrontations where sensuality, deception, and lethal combat intertwine, set against the political machinations of figures like Yagyū Munenori. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Kaoru Hazuki with scenario adaptation by Junji Mizushima, began serialization in the October 2025 issue of Comic Ran magazine on August 27, 2025.
