In the Glass Mansion, the wealthy Fudanuki patriarch Reizo places himself and most of his family into illegal cryosleep, hoping to multiply their fortune through compound interest. They are left in the care of the fourth son, Shiro, who remains awake. After the family enters hibernation, cryosleep is outlawed due to evidence that it causes brain damage. The mansion becomes known as the Glass Mansion, feared and shunned by society.

Twenty years later, in 1992, the eldest son Ichiro is awakened. He has not aged, but the prolonged cryosleep has destroyed his conscience. Raging at having lost two decades of his life, Ichiro becomes a remorseless killer. He murders his father and rapes his niece, taking her as his lover. He commits further atrocities, his actions tearing the already dysfunctional family apart. Shiro attempts to stop him, but Ichiro’s brutality escalates.

A mysterious woman named Hilun appears, having slept in a capsule for two thousand years. Her presence further unsettles Ichiro. Eventually Ichiro is arrested and sentenced to death. The government enacts a “Murder Law” that allows the execution of death-row inmates as public entertainment. Ichiro becomes the target of a legalized killing game, hunted by armed citizens. He fights back with savage violence, becoming both predator and prey.

The story explores the dehumanizing effects of technology, the corruption of power, and the spectacle of death. It incorporates elements of dark satire and existential horror. The manga remains unfinished due to the cancellation of both magazines that serialized it, leaving Ichiro’s fate and the ultimate resolution of Hilun’s role unknown.
