Gou Karube dedicated his entire youth to supporting the VTuber Noa Mukanae, a member of the idol group Hoshigaoka High School. Known among fellow fans by his handle Calgo, he organized events and ran an unofficial fan club, pouring time and money into helping her career. Noa’s long-awaited first solo live concert was supposed to be the moment her dream came true together with her fans. Instead, the event triggered a massive online scandal—her real identity was exposed, and she was ruthlessly flamed across the internet. The backlash forced her to retire, and Gou’s world collapsed. He believed he died that night.

A year later, Gou has dropped out of high school and now runs a blog that covers VTuber controversies under the name Arato Kazan. Cynical and adrift, he spends his days reporting on the worst moments of the very community he once loved. Then a beautiful girl named Moa Kogami approaches him with an unusual request: she wants him to use his skills to deliberately engineer a scandal for her own VTuber—to produce a dramatic, controlled ending on her terms. She frames it as a kind of rescue, a way to give a VTuber a dignified exit rather than a messy collapse.

Reluctantly drawn back into the VTuber world, Gou begins working with Moa, and in the process confronts his own unresolved grief over Noa’s downfall. The story follows his attempts to craft a meaningful conclusion for Moa’s VTuber while grappling with whether he can still believe in the dream that once defined him. As more clients appear—including a sister trying to separate her family from a controversial male VTuber—Gou must decide what it really means to save someone’s ending, and whether he can ever move past the night he lost his own.
