Description
Shirochi Hikari is a high school student at the bottom of the social ladder. He is a socially isolated otaku who spends his free time obsessing over fighting games and custom-building personal computers. Academically average and physically weak, Hikari also suffers from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, a condition that often lands him in the school infirmary and makes him a frequent target for bullies. His only refuge is at home, tinkering with his PC.
One night, a sudden buildup of static electricity violently ejects Hikari's consciousness out of his body and into his computer. He discovers that he can now travel through any electrical current, effectively allowing him to exist as a digital being that can move through power lines, appliances, and electronic devices. This new ability grants him tremendous potential: he can observe anyone from within their electronics, manipulate electrical systems, and even directly deliver electric shocks.
Hikari must now decide how to use his power. The immediate temptation is to exact revenge on the classmates who tormented him, but the story explores whether he can rise above that impulse and become a genuine hero. The narrative follows Hikari as he tests the limits of his ability, encounters others affected by or interested in his strange condition, and confronts the moral implications of wielding such raw power. The series, told across eight volumes, balances the mundane struggles of a bullied teenager against a quietly escalating superhero origin story that questions what it means to be a hero when you have every reason to be a villain.
