Kyōya Hashiba, a 28-year-old struggling game developer, finds himself disillusioned with his career and life choices. After being laid off from his job, he reflects on his past and regrets not pursuing his passion for the arts during his college years. One night, he falls asleep and wakes up to discover he has traveled back in time to his first year of college, a decade earlier. This second chance allows him to enroll at the prestigious Oonaka University of Arts, where he aims to reshape his future by pursuing his creative dreams.

At Oonaka, Kyōya meets a group of talented peers who will later become influential figures in the creative industry. Among them are Shino Aki, a reserved but brilliant artist; Nanako Kogure, a cheerful and ambitious writer; and Tsurayuki Rokuonji, a passionate yet eccentric musician. Together, they form a close-knit group, collaborating on projects and supporting each other’s aspirations. Kyōya’s knowledge of the future gives him an edge, allowing him to guide his friends toward success while avoiding past mistakes.

As the story progresses, Kyōya navigates the challenges of balancing his academic life, creative projects, and personal relationships. He becomes deeply involved in the development of a video game, drawing on his future experiences to contribute innovative ideas. However, his actions begin to alter the timeline, leading to unforeseen consequences. The relationships and dynamics within the group shift, and Kyōya must confront the ethical implications of using his future knowledge to influence the present.

The narrative explores themes of ambition, regret, and the pursuit of dreams, as Kyōya grapples with the weight of his decisions. His journey is marked by moments of triumph and failure, as he learns to accept the imperfections of life and the value of genuine effort. The story also delves into the personal struggles of his friends, revealing their insecurities and motivations, which add depth to their characters and the overall plot.
