Description
Sakurano Hazuki, a popular idol and member of the girl group Sweet, finds her life taking an unexpected turn after a public altercation with professional wrestler Rio Kazama. During a television appearance, Hazuki defends her group’s image after Rio criticizes their lack of effort and dedication. This confrontation escalates into a physical challenge, with Hazuki agreeing to face Rio in a wrestling match. Despite her determination, Hazuki is easily defeated, humiliated by her lack of strength and skill. This loss becomes a turning point, as Hazuki decides to step away from her idol career temporarily to train as a professional wrestler, determined to prove herself and grow stronger.

Hazuki joins the wrestling promotion organization BEW (Beautiful Energy Wrestling), where she begins her grueling training under the guidance of veteran wrestler Elena Miyazawa. The training is physically and mentally demanding, pushing Hazuki to her limits as she learns the fundamentals of wrestling, from basic techniques to the psychological aspects of the sport. Along the way, she encounters other wrestlers, each with their own motivations and struggles, including the stoic and disciplined Seiko Fujimi and the ambitious but insecure Aya Hoshino. Hazuki’s journey is marked by setbacks, injuries, and self-doubt, but her perseverance and growing passion for wrestling drive her forward.

As Hazuki progresses, she faces increasingly challenging opponents, including Rio Kazama, who becomes both her rival and a source of inspiration. Their rivalry evolves into a complex dynamic, with Rio recognizing Hazuki’s potential while pushing her to improve. Hazuki’s transformation from a naive idol to a determined wrestler is central to the narrative, highlighting themes of resilience, self-discovery, and the pursuit of personal growth. The series also explores the world of professional wrestling, depicting the physical toll, the camaraderie among wrestlers, and the spectacle of the sport.

The story balances Hazuki’s personal journey with the broader context of the wrestling industry, showcasing the challenges faced by women in a male-dominated field. Hazuki’s relationships with her fellow wrestlers, her former idol group, and her family add depth to her character, illustrating the sacrifices and conflicts that come with pursuing a new path. The series culminates in Hazuki’s efforts to prove herself as a legitimate wrestler, culminating in high-stakes matches that test her skills, resolve, and determination to become the strongest in the world.
