Satomi Majima is a former Japanese voice actress born on April 22, 1955, in Itoigawa, Niigata Prefecture. Her interest in acting began during high school, where she was a member of the drama club and won a prefectural acting competition. After graduating in 1973, she moved to Tokyo and studied acting under Natsuko Kawaji while working at a company, eventually leaving to pursue a career in voice acting full-time.

Majima's voice acting career was relatively brief but active from 1977 to 1985. She became affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. Her debut role was a student in the 1976 anime Candy Candy. Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, she built a reputation playing a wide variety of characters, frequently voicing young boys. Her versatility allowed her to take on roles ranging from comedic to dramatic. Among her most notable leading roles were the titular characters in several series: Arashi Ishino in Game Center Arashi (1982), Sanshiro Sugata in Plawres Sanshiro (1983-1984), and Hibari Oozora in Stop!! Hibari-kun! (1983-1984). She also played prominent roles such as Watta Takeo in Muteki Robo Trider G7 (1980-1981), Tonbo in Gold Lightan (1981), and Yasuo Mutsu in Armored Fleet Dairugger XV (1982). Her filmography also includes smaller roles in major franchises of the era, such as Miharu Ratokie in Mobile Suit Gundam (1979). Her work was recognized by fans, placing in the Animage Grand Prix polls for best female voice actor in the early 1980s.

In March 1985, Majima married fellow voice actor Tōru Furuya, with whom she had co-starred in Stop!! Hibari-kun!. Following their marriage and in accordance with her husband's wishes, she retired from the voice acting industry. She later returned to voice acting, primarily to reprise roles she had performed prior to her retirement.
