Liza Willert was a prominent Mexican actress and voice actress, recognized for her extensive work in television, film, theater, and dubbing for over four decades. Born Elizabeth Margot Schreiter Castañón on February 1, 1939, she adopted the stage name Liza Willert for her professional career. She passed away on July 10, 2009, at the age of 70.

Her career in voice acting was prolific, contributing to the Spanish dubbing of numerous live-action series and animated productions. She was particularly active in dubbing anime for the Mexican and Latin American markets. Some of her well-known anime voice roles include Nora in Astro Boy (2003) and several characters within the Sailor Moon franchise, such as Kaolinite in Sailor Moon S, Queen Badiyanu in the Sailor Moon SuperS movie, and various secondary roles in Sailor Moon SuperS and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. Her repertoire also featured roles in other major anime series, including the Anciana de las Arenas (Sunakake Baba) in Gegege no Kitarō (1996), Ivy (Snake) in Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z, and Dolores in the anime special Dracula: Sovereign Of The Damned. Additional credits include appearances in Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Slam Dunk, and Ghost in the Shell.

Beyond anime, Willert was a highly sought-after voice for dubbing Western productions. She lent her voice to characters in a vast array of films and television series. Notable roles included Phyllis van de Kamp in Desperate Housewives, Livia Soprano in The Sopranos, and Norma Arnold in The Wonder Years. She was also the voice of the mother in both The Cow and the Chicken and Dexter's Laboratory, and provided the voice for the stepmother Lady Tremaine in the redubs of Disney's Cinderella, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, and Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. Her film dubbing work was extensive, covering movies such as the Harry Potter series, The Matrix Revolutions, and the Spy Kids franchise.

Throughout her career, Liza Willert collaborated on numerous projects with her daughter, actress and voice actress Gaby Willert. An example of their work together is in the anime special Dracula: Sovereign Of The Damned, where Liza Willert voiced Dolores and Gaby Willert voiced Rachel Van Helsing. Willert's significant contributions to the industry were not limited to performance; in the late 1970s, she was invited to Peru by Panamericana Televisión to train local actors in the craft of dubbing, highlighting her role as a mentor and pioneer in the field. With a career spanning more than four decades, she provided voices for over one hundred characters, leaving a substantial legacy in the world of dubbing.
