Kalimba Marichal
Description
Kalimba Marichal is the stage name of Kalimba Kadjaly Marichal Ibar, a Mexican singer, actor, and voice actor born in Mexico City on July 26, 1982. He began his career in entertainment at a very young age, appearing in television programs such as Chiquilladas and Chispas de chocolate from the age of two. His early work in voice acting included providing the singing voice for a young Simba in the Latin American Spanish dub of Disney's The Lion King and voicing the title character in James and the Giant Peach.
In addition to his work for Disney, Marichal performed voice roles in several prominent anime series and films for the Latin American market. According to the Anime News Network encyclopedia, his anime voice acting credits include the titular role in the 1996 anime series Gegege no Kitarō, where he voiced Kitaro. He also voiced the character Michael in the 1989 Lupin the Third television special, Bye Bye, Lady Liberty. His other anime roles include Takashi in the movie Akira, Agumon in Digimon Adventure, and child versions of characters in series such as Slam Dunk, Cowboy Bebop, and Oh My Goddess!. Beyond anime, he was also the first Spanish voice for the character Arnold in the animated series Hey Arnold!.
