Daniel Brochu is a Canadian actor and voice actor born on February 28, 1980, in Montreal, Canada. He has built a extensive career spanning both live-action and animation, though he is particularly renowned for his work in English dubs of animated series and films.

Brochu's voice acting portfolio includes significant roles in anime and animated productions adapted for English-speaking audiences. Notably, he provided the voice for Andrew Rhodes, the older brother of the protagonist, in the English adaptation of the Japanese anime series The Bush Baby, known in Japan as Daisougen no Chiisana Tenshi Busshubeibī. He also voiced the title character, Huckleberry Finn, in the English version of the 1991 Japanese anime series Huckleberry no Bōken, an adaptation of Mark Twain's classic novel. In some credits for this series, he was listed as Danny Brochu.

While his work on these specific anime titles is a key part of his filmography, Brochu's most enduring and high-profile role is voicing Buster Baxter, the bespectacled and energetic best friend of the title character, in the long-running children's animated series Arthur. He began voicing the role in 1996 and continued in the part for the show's entire duration, which concluded in 2022, also reprising the role for the spin-off series Postcards from Buster and various specials. His other notable voice work includes Danny Pickett in later seasons of What's with Andy?, Brandon in Winx Club, Cha-Siu Miao in Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, and roles in Caillou and the English adaptation of Supernatural: The Anime Series.

Throughout his career in the Montreal-based voice acting industry, Brochu has frequently collaborated with a consistent group of fellow voice actors. Recurring collaborators include Arthur Holden, Sonja Ball, Bronwen Mantel, Bruce Dinsmore, A.J. Henderson, and Richard M. Dumont, among others. This network of talent has been a staple of English dubs produced in Canada for decades.

Beyond voice acting, Brochu is also an accomplished on-screen actor. His live-action credits include roles in films such as Mr. Nobody, The Bone Collector, and the 2018 film On the Basis of Sex, as well as appearances in television series like Being Human (North American version), 19-2, and The Hunger. His long-standing contribution to children's entertainment through the character of Buster Baxter remains his most significant and widely recognized achievement.
