Lydia Cherton is a French-Belgian actress primarily known for her extensive work in voice dubbing, particularly for animated series and films. Born in Belgium, she received her artistic education at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Belgium before beginning her career as a stage actress, with early roles in classical theatre productions such as Torquemada by Victor Hugo and Cyrano de Bergerac. Around 2005 or 2006, she relocated to France to further her career.

Cherton is widely recognized for her voice roles in several major anime franchises. She is the first French voice of the recurring character Nurse Joy, a role she performed in the Pokémon anime from the original series through the seventh season, including its Advanced Generation episodes. Her work in Pokémon also includes providing voices for numerous other characters, such as Caroline, various Pokémon, and characters in films like Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pokémon 2: The Power of One. In the long-running series One Piece, she voices the character Shirahoshi in the French adaptation. Another notable credit is her role as Hinatsuru in the French dub of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc. Her anime filmography also includes the role of Fumi Kindaichi in The Kindaichi Case Files.

Beyond anime, Lydia Cherton's dubbing career encompasses a wide range of live-action and animated productions. She is known for being the regular French voice of actress Beth Behrs, voicing her character Caroline Channing in the series 2 Broke Girls. Her other dubbing credits include voicing Yata in the animated series The Emperor's New School, providing additional voices for films by director Quentin Tarantino such as Django Unchained and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and contributing to recent releases like Scream 6.

In addition to her voice acting, Cherton is an accomplished stage and screen actress and a playwright. She has performed in numerous theatrical productions in France and Belgium and has appeared in the film Alive and the television series Munch. In 2021, she wrote her first play, La Force du Coquelicot, which was awarded the Grand Prix du Théâtre and has been performed at festivals including the Festival d'Avignon.
