Hiroya Egashira is a Japanese voice actor from Saga Prefecture, born on April 23. He is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production. His path to becoming a voice actor is notable for its unconventional beginning, as he initially served in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and later worked at a private company before pursuing a career in voice acting.

Egashira's first foray into voice acting came through an open audition for the game Yakuza 0 in 2015, where he was selected for the role of Katsuage-kun. Following this, he trained at School Duo and officially joined Ken Production in April 2019, marking the start of his professional career. His body of work spans anime, video games, and dubbing for overseas films and television dramas.

In anime, Egashira has taken on a variety of roles, often voicing side characters, villains, or characters with distinctive personalities. One of his more prominent roles is Kaoru Shindo in the 2022 original anime series Tokyo 24th Ward. He also voiced the character Taipei in the 2023 anime adaptation of Dead Mount Death Play. His other anime credits include roles in the 2022 adaptation of Urusei Yatsura, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, Tokyo Revengers, and many others. He also appears in the 2024 anime Ranma 1/2.

Beyond anime, Egashira has a significant presence in video game voice acting. He is known for voicing Breach in the Japanese version of the popular game VALORANT and the male protagonist Eivor in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. He has also contributed to the Dragon Quest X game series. His work in dubbing foreign content includes providing Japanese voices for actors such as Scott Eastwood and Michael Jai White.

Egashira is known to have skills in kickboxing and iaido, a Japanese martial art focused on sword drawing. He is also proficient in the Hakata and Saga dialects.
