Description
Jessica DiCicco is an American actress who has built an extensive career primarily through voice work in animated series, films, and video games. Born in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of actor Bobby Di Cicco. Her family moved to New York City when she was young, and she began performing as a child, appearing in projects such as the after-school special Free to Be... A Family and an episode of the sitcom Kate & Allie. She also had an uncredited role as a child in Francis Ford Coppola's film The Godfather Part III. DiCicco attended the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, graduating in 2002. During her college years, she began her voice-over career by becoming the original announcer for the Nickelodeon educational channel Noggin, a role she continued throughout her studies.
Following her graduation, DiCicco focused almost exclusively on voice acting. Her first major lead role was as the titular character in the Disney Channel series The Buzz on Maggie. She subsequently voiced a wide array of characters in numerous animated television shows, including Malina in The Emperor's New School, Lexi Bunny in Loonatics Unleashed, Gwen in The Mighty B!, and later, Flame Princess in the acclaimed Cartoon Network series Adventure Time. She is also well known for her long-running roles on the Nickelodeon series The Loud House, where she voices siblings Lynn Loud Jr. and Lucy Loud, among other characters. Her work in children's animation has extended to series like Puppy Dog Pals, Muppet Babies, and It's Pony.
In addition to Western animation, DiCicco has contributed her voice to English-language dubs of several prominent anime productions. In the 2021 Mamoru Hosoda film Belle, she voiced Hiroka Betsuyaku, the best friend and confidante of the main character, Suzu. That same year, she appeared in the anime adaptation of Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, a spin-off of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, where she voiced the character Ikkyu in the episode "Millionaire Village". Her other anime credits include roles in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba as Shigeru Kamado, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works as Yukika Saegusa, and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon as Meifuku. She also provided voices for the English dub of the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway.
Beyond television and film, DiCicco has an extensive filmography in video games. Her work in the medium includes voicing Olette in Kingdom Hearts II, Franke Athens in the cult classic Psychonauts, and characters in the Final Fantasy XIII series.
