Marco De Risi

Marco De Risi is an Italian voice actor born in Rome on September 28, 1972, who began his career in 1997. He joined the Società Attori Sincronizzatori, one of Italy's oldest dubbing companies, in 1999. Since 2011, he has worked in both the Italian and American dubbing markets.

De Risi is known for his extensive voice work in anime, providing the Italian voices for numerous characters. In the series The Seven Deadly Sins, he voices the character Gilthunder across multiple installments, including the main television series, the special The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War, and the film The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light. He also voices the character Real Gowther in The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of The Gods. His other notable anime roles include Shiro Nango in Mix: Meisei Story, Casio Takashiro in Gunbuster 2: Diebuster, Nishida in Boys Be..., Kunimba in Demon Lord Dante, Tatsuya Yuasa in Devilman Lady, Andro in Generator Gawl, Sunny Boy in Last Exile, Mitchell in Eat-Man, Mephisto II in Akuma-kun, and the Bibliotecario Direttore in The Ancient Magus' Bride. He has also lent his voice to anime films, including Gonta in Pom Poko, Civet Anhern in Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, and one of the Kappa del fiume Kitakami and Tengu 1 in The House of the Lost on the Cape. In addition to his on-screen roles, De Risi has worked extensively as a dubbing director and adapter for numerous Italian versions of anime, including the entire The Seven Deadly Sins franchise, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, Ingress, Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre, Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON, and Ōoku: The Inner Chambers.

De Risi's work extends beyond anime to include Italian dubbing for live-action films and television series. He has dubbed actors such as Greg Grunberg in Felicity, Alias, and Lost, Dave England in the Jackass film series, Chris Tucker in Silver Linings Playbook, and Robert Lin in School of Rock. He also provides voices for animated series like I Simpson, where he voices Rainer Wolfcastle and Duffman. In 2011, he won the Romics award in the Best Dubbing Cast category for his work on the television series No Ordinary Family.
