Marie Van Ermengem, also known professionally as Marie Van R, is a Belgian voice actress and dubbing director born on May 17, 1972, in Leuven, Belgium. She studied at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Belgium, which marked the beginning of her path into performance.

Her career in dubbing began in the mid-1990s, with her first experiences in the field around 1996. She initially provided voices for a variety of characters, including young women and children, and soon developed a specialization in voicing young boys. This versatility became a hallmark of her extensive body of work in French-language dubs of anime series.

Van Ermengem is perhaps most widely recognized for her long-standing role as Tony Tony Chopper, the beloved reindeer mascot of the globally popular series One Piece. She was chosen for the part in 2008 and has voiced the character consistently ever since, across the main television series, numerous films including One Piece Film Red, and various specials. Her portrayal of Chopper is noted for capturing the character's gentle and endearing nature.

Beyond this signature role, her filmography is extensive and diverse, encompassing many other notable anime. In the series I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, she voices the character Shalsha. She plays Jinon in Love of Kill and Civil A. Sabaramondo in Dead Mount Death Play. Her work in the Pokémon franchise is particularly prolific; she has voiced numerous characters across different series and films, including the roles of Jupiter in Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles, Malva in Pokémon XY, as well as Cassidy, and characters in films like Pokémon: The First Movie. Other significant roles include Kyuo Ryu in Shadow Skill 2, Tea Gardner and Makuba Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!, the title character in Shin Chan, Road Kamelot in D.Gray-Man, Saya Takagi in High School of the Dead, and Kikki in Mew Mew Power.

In addition to her on-screen voice work, Marie Van Ermengem has also contributed to the industry as a dubbing director. Her credits in this role include the French adaptation of the series Radiant.
