Yoshinobu Sena

Description
Yoshinobu Sena is a Japanese multimedia creative professional who works as a voice actor, director, scriptwriter, and composer, among other roles. He was born in Aichi Prefecture on October 30, 1978. His career in entertainment began after high school when he founded a radio drama troupe, taking on responsibilities in writing, directing, and voice acting, a path he chose due to budget limitations. He later moved to Tokyo to attend a film school.

Sena's voice acting debut in animation came in 2011 when he voiced the protagonist, Chikage Kamiyashiro, in the web anime Install. This project was a significant undertaking for Sena, as he also served as its creator, writer, and director. This pattern of taking on multiple key roles in productions he also voices is a hallmark of his career. For instance, he voiced the title character in the 2015 television anime Vampire Holmes, for which he was also the original creator, total director, and music composer. His later voice roles include the 2018 web anime Eightraid, where he played Yasuma Yahara.

Beyond animation, Sena's voice work extends to video games and drama CDs. He provided the voice for Holmes and Baldy in the Vampire Holmes escape-the-room puzzle game series starting in 2014. His work in drama CDs includes roles such as Louis in Louis' Magic Trial in 2012 and Tokugawa Shinnosuke in Shisengumi ~Youkai Sekkatsuki~ in 2013. He was also the narrator for the 2013 picture book app Arukiya Frill to Chocolate Kishidan.

As a creator, Sena's work has been recognized with several awards. In 2004, he received an honorable mention for the Original Story/Scenario award at the 3rd Japan Film Angel Grand Prix. He won an award for original story and script from Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan in 2006. More recently, his 2014 animated short film Kamitama received the Governor's Prize at the 10th Yamagata International Movie Festival.
