Thierry Desroses is a French actor and voice artist, born on August 12, 1960, in Aix-en-Provence, France. His career encompasses live-action roles in film and television, as well as extensive work in dubbing for French-language versions of international productions. He trained in theater at the École Arelem with Niels Arestrup and Yves Le Moign', and studied acting with Eli Sontag at the Lugo Center, in addition to training in dance and lyric singing.

Desroses is widely recognized for his voice work, having become one of the prominent figures in French dubbing. He is notably the regular French voice for several prominent African-American actors, including Samuel L. Jackson, a role he has held since dubbing Pulp Fiction in 1994. He also regularly provides the French voice for actors such as Wesley Snipes, Giancarlo Esposito, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lance Reddick, and many others. This extensive body of work in dubbing for live-action films and series constitutes a major part of his career achievements.

In the realm of animation and anime, Desroses has contributed his voice to several notable projects. He is known for voicing the character Frozone in the French versions of the Incredibles franchise. He also voiced the title character in the anime series Afro Samurai. More recently, he took on the role of Douglas in the French dub of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. His work also extends to video games, where he has lent his voice to characters such as Lucius Fox in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Beyond his voice acting, Desroses has maintained a significant on-screen career, most notably for his long-running role as Lieutenant Alain Porret in the French police television series PJ, in which he appeared for 75 episodes from 1998 to 2006. He has also held principal roles in other television series such as La Cour des grands and Les Secrets du volcan. In addition to acting, he has worked as a director and screenwriter, co-writing a one-man show for Fabrice Éboué and directing documentary films focusing on social issues in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
