Description
Yasuko Matsuyuki is a Japanese actress and singer who has performed voice roles in animated projects, though her career is primarily focused on live-action film and television. Born on November 28, 1972, in Saga Prefecture, she began her career as a model before making her acting debut in 1991. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades for her live-action performances, including Japanese Academy Awards nominations and a win for Best Actress from the Nikkan Sports Film Awards.

While Matsuyuki is not primarily known as a voice actor, she has lent her voice to a small number of animated characters. In 2007, she voiced the character Maria in the Japanese CGI science fiction film Vexille - 2077 Isolation of Japan. She also provided the voice for Kokorin in the 2011 animated film Soreike! Anpanman: Sukue! Kokorin to Kiseki no Hoshi, part of the long-running Anpanman franchise. Another notable voice role includes her work dubbing the character Mamá Imelda in the Japanese-language version of the Pixar film Coco. These voice performances represent a distinct but minor facet of her broader career as an award-winning live-action actress.
