Kath Soucie is an American voice actress with a career spanning several decades, during which she has lent her voice to thousands of animated characters across television, film, and video games. She began her career as a theatrical actress in New York after studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. While she appeared in live-action television films in the late 1970s, she became disillusioned with the physical limitations of on-camera work and transitioned to voice acting. Her first voice-over job was in 1986 for the series Rambo: The Force of Freedom. The following year, she took over the role of Janine Melnitz on The Real Ghostbusters, which was an early significant role in animation.
While primarily known for her extensive work in Western animation, Soucie has contributed to English-language adaptations of anime. She is the voice of Kappei in the English version of the anime series Ninjala.
