From 2010 to 2014, she was a founding member of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, where she also served as the student council president (leader) and was a member of several of its sub-units. In 2021, she voiced the character Francisco Minton XV in the short-form anime iii icecrin, a role she reprised for its second season, iii icecrin 2. That same year, she was also cast as Ami Akise in the multimedia idol project Idol Bu Show. In 2022, Horiuchi played a leading role as Reimi Itsushiro in the original television anime Healer Girl. For this series, she also formed the singing unit Healer Girls with her three co-stars to perform the show's theme songs.

Beyond anime, Horiuchi has expanded her performance repertoire to include stage musicals. In 2022, she began starring as Rurika Tsubaki in the Love Live! School Idol Musical stage production, a role in the long-running Love Live! multimedia franchise.
