Franco Zucca was an Italian voice actor and theater actor, born in Trieste on August 26, 1952. He began his career on the stages of Trieste before moving to theaters in Catania and Rome. Zucca passed away in his hometown of Trieste on July 24, 2022, at the age of 69.

His extensive career was primarily dedicated to dubbing for film and television, where he became a familiar and respected voice to Italian audiences. He was the regular Italian voice for numerous acclaimed international actors, including Ben Kingsley, Tom Wilkinson, J. K. Simmons, Timothy Spall, and Pete Postlethwaite. Among his most notable live-action dubbing roles were Ben Kingsley in Schindler's List, Raúl Juliá in The Addams Family films, and Sam Elliott in The Big Lebowski.

In the realm of animation, Zucca lent his voice to a wide array of characters in both animated films and television series. He was the voice of Manty in A Bug's Life, George Sanderson in Monsters, Inc., and Zeke in Ice Age. For Italian television audiences, he was known as the first voice of Jorgen Von Strangle in The Fairly OddParents and as the Mandarin in the 1990s Iron Man animated series.

In the specific field of anime and Japanese animation, Franco Zucca contributed his voice to several key projects. He voiced Lambert, a villainous former Nazi scientist seeking a hidden treasure, in the 2019 CGI film Lupin III: The First. He also played the role of Kunio Ashida in the 2020 Netflix original anime series Japan Sinks: 2020. His other anime credits include providing the voice for Dallis Zacklay in the Italian adaptation of Attack on Titan and Pachacamac in Sonic X.
