Debora Morese

Description
Deborah Morese is an Italian voice actress born in Milan on November 5, 1980, who is primarily known for her extensive work dubbing foreign animation and live-action content into Italian. She is sometimes credited as Debora Morese. Her career began at a young age; as a teenager, she voiced the character Chibiusa in the original Italian dub of the Sailor Moon anime, a notable instance of a child voicing a child character in an industry where adults often take such roles.

Morese has built a prolific career with a wide range of prominent anime roles. She is the Italian voice of Marin Kitagawa in the romantic comedy series My Dress-Up Darling. In the long-running Pokémon franchise, she voices the character Serena, providing the Italian dubbing for her appearances in Pokémon the Series: XY and the film Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel. She also lends her voice to Tiff (known as Fumu in the original Japanese) in the anime series Kirby: Right Back At Ya!. Another key role is that of Eureka in the 2009 film Eureka Seven - Il film: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers, an alternative story to the original television series.

Beyond these, her dubbing portfolio includes a vast array of other anime characters. She voices Suika in Dr. STONE, Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia, Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Quinella in Sword Art Online, and Hitomi Shizuki in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Her work also extends to characters in Yo-kai Watch, Beyblade Burst, and the various series within the Pretty Rhythm and Jewelpet franchises.

In addition to her anime work, Morese is a highly active voice in Western animation and live-action dubbing. She is known for voicing Princess Luna and Diamond Tiara in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Pacifica Northwest in Gravity Falls, and Sydney in Max Steel. Her live-action dubbing credits are extensive and include Jessica Davis in the series 13 Reasons Why, Dr. K in Power Rangers RPM, and providing the Italian voice for actors such as Zendaya in the film Nemiciperlapelle and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Il luogo delle ombre. She has also voiced numerous characters in video games, including Jote in Final Fantasy XVI, Purah in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Symmetra in Overwatch, and Wave the Swallow in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Her career is marked by recurring collaborations with certain dubbing studios and directors in Italy, particularly within the Milanese dubbing industry, which distinguishes her work on series like Eureka Seven, which was dubbed in Milan rather than Rome. Beyond voice acting, Morese has also performed in theater, having acted for three seasons with the Piero Mazzarella theater company, and has worked in television, co-hosting the morning program Ciao Ciao Mattina on Italia 1.
