Klaus Münster is a German actor and voice actor born on September 3, 1935, in Bad Köstritz, Germany. He trained as an actor in Berlin over a three-year period and began his career on stage in the former East Germany, performing in cities such as Zittau and Cottbus. In the early 1960s, he moved to West Germany, where his theatre work continued at venues including the Renaissance-Theater and Hansa-Theater in Berlin, as well as stages in Munich and Vienna. His stage career also included international tours, with performances in cities across the globe.

Münster's on-screen career began in the early 1960s, and he has appeared in over 200 film and television productions, typically in supporting roles. His filmography includes a wide range of German and international productions, such as The Serpent's Egg, The Lives of Others, and the television series Tatort and Derrick. In addition to his screen work, he has been active as a writer and presenter for German television and radio, notably hosting the ARD series Pickwick-Club – Merkwürdigkeiten des Alltags for Sender Freies Berlin in the 1980s.

Alongside his on-camera career, Klaus Münster has built a substantial body of work as a voice actor, providing the German dubbing for various film and television roles. His voice acting credits include the character Gustavsson in the Pettson and Findus series, and he provided the uncredited German voice for Erich Mielke in the 2006 film The Lives of Others. He has also lent his voice to characters in Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films, such as in Zwei bärenstarke Typen and Lucky Luke. Within the realm of anime, Klaus Münster voiced the character Rick Walken in the German-language dubbing of the series Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor.
