Hiroshi Okamoto is a Japanese voice actor born on August 27, 1977, in Nara Prefecture. He is a graduate of Momoyama Gakuin University and has been active in the voice acting industry since 2003. He is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production.

Before pursuing voice acting, Okamoto was a dedicated athlete with aspirations of competing in the Olympics, but a ligament injury during his first year of high school altered his path. Inspired by the Studio Ghibli film Whisper of the Heart, he decided to seek a career in animation. He subsequently trained at the Tokyo Animation Research Institute before successfully auditioning for Aoni Production.

Okamoto's career began with minor roles in anime series such as Sonic X and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. He gained wider recognition through various supporting and principal roles. In anime television, his filmography includes the role of Haruya Kobayashi in Marginal Prince, Rēta in Gokujō!! Mecha Mote Iinchō, and Elf November in Senyū. Dai 2 Ki. He also voiced the character Seborga in the series Hetalia: The World Twinkle. Other notable anime roles include Kouji Tanbabashi in Inari Kon Kon, Wataru Kanō in La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky, and Rei in Dragon Collection. He has also had a long-running association with the long-running series One Piece, voicing numerous background and supporting characters over many years, including Charlotte Newji in 2019.

In addition to anime, Okamoto has an extensive career in video games. He is particularly known for his work in the Samurai Warriors series, where he has voiced multiple characters including Takamaru, Takakage Kobayakawa, and Katsuyori Takeda. He has also taken on the role of Andy Bogard in the fighting game series The King of Fighters, starting with The King of Fighters XIV and most recently in Street Fighter 6 as a downloadable content character. His other game credits include Ing Egret in Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Moon Dwellers and roles in the Warriors Orochi series.

Early in his career, Okamoto was a member of the voice actor unit Boy's Beat, which was featured in the magazine B's Log and performed at live events, contributing to his early following. He has also participated in music related to his roles, such as singing in the micronations theme song Micronations☆Jet for the Hetalia franchise alongside his co-stars. He has been a regular attendee at various live events and festivals for the romantic game franchise Neoromance.
