Miki Ootani is a Japanese voice actress born on October 17, 1985, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent agency IT Kikaku, having previously been associated with Theatre Academy. Her professional skills include basketball, karate, and playing the shinobue, a type of Japanese bamboo flute.

Ootani is known for her versatile vocal abilities, particularly in portraying young and energetic characters. Her career includes a range of roles in anime, video games, and stage productions. One of her most prominent and recurring roles is Takeru Aizawa, the cheerful and kind younger brother in the anime series Squid Girl. She voiced the character in the original television series, its second season Squid Girl Season 2, and multiple original video animations released between 2012 and 2014. Another notable leading role is Zero in the anime series Save Me! Lollipop.

In addition to these, Ootani has built a substantial body of work with various supporting and recurring characters throughout the mid-2000s. Her filmography includes the role of Hana Kurokawa in the long-running series Reborn!.
