Robin Sachs was an English actor widely recognized for his deep, authoritative voice, which led to extensive work in voice-over for animated series, films, and video games. He voiced the character Ataman, also known as Ivan Judanovich, in the 2012 computer-generated animated film Resident Evil: Damnation. This science fiction horror film, set in the Resident Evil universe, features Sachs providing the voice for the leader of a rebel faction in the Eastern Slav Republic.

Beyond this role, Sachs was a prolific voice actor in the video game industry, where his distinctive gruff voice became well-known to players. He portrayed the mercenary Zaeed Massani in the critically acclaimed Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, a role that garnered him significant recognition among fans. His other notable video game credits include Admiral Saul Karath in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, multiple characters in Dragon Age: Origins and its expansion, such as Seneschal Varel and Lord Harrowmont, and roles in games like The Bard's Tale and Rainbow Six: Lockdown.

In addition to video games, Sachs contributed his voice to animated television series. He voiced Sergeant Roderick in the popular series SpongeBob SquarePants and provided the voice for the Silver Surfer in the 1990s Fantastic Four animated series. His final performance was as Zaeed Massani in the Citadel downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3, which was released after his death and dedicated to his memory. Sachs passed away on February 1, 2013, at the age of 61.
