She studied at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin and began her career in theatre, performing in cities such as Berlin and Erfurt before also becoming extensively involved in dubbing for film and television.

In the realm of anime and animation, Könning has provided the German voice for several notable roles. She is the voice of the Dominator, the intelligent weapon system, in the series Psycho-Pass. She also voiced the character Windy in the series Spirit of Wonder Scientific Boys Club and Melissa Rosenberg in El Cazador de la Bruja, as mentioned.
