Rie Yamaguchi

Rie Yamaguchi is a former Japanese voice actress from Nara Prefecture, born on October 20, 1986. She made her debut in the anime industry in 2009, with her first role being Hannah Weber in the series Element Hunters. Following her debut, she was initially affiliated with the agency JTB Entertainment before moving to 81 Produce in late 2010.
Yamaguchi is perhaps best known for her role as Taeko Hiramatsu in the Is This a Zombie? television anime series and its sequel, Is This a Zombie? of the Dead. Her involvement with the franchise extended beyond voice acting, as she also performed the ending theme songs for both seasons and released a solo album in 2011. Another frequently cited role is that of Maki-sensei in the short-form anime series Morita-san wa Mukuchi.
Throughout her active career, which spanned from 2009 to 2017, Yamaguchi contributed voices to a variety of other anime series. Her filmography includes roles such as Tris McKenzie in Freezing, Yurako Somaki in Kamisama Dolls, Ageha Yamaguchi in Sacred Seven, and Shiori Mizumura in Saki Episode of Side A. She also provided the Japanese voice for the character Jing in the Chinese animated film Kuiba. In the video game domain, she voiced the heroine Suzu Yūki in School of Talent: SUZU-ROUTE.
On March 1, 2017, Yamaguchi announced on her official blog that she had retired from voice acting to pursue a new goal. Her retirement from the industry followed her resignation from the agency 81 Produce at the end of February 2017.
