Pedro Manana
Description
Pedro Manana is a Portuguese voice actor, actor, and author, born in Lisbon on September 20, 1982. He began working in dubbing in 1998 and has since become a prominent figure in the European Portuguese voice acting community, providing voices for numerous animated series and films. His formal training includes a bachelor's degree in Acting and a degree in Theatre and Education from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, and he has an extensive background in theatre, both as an actor and as a stage manager at the Teatro Nacional São João.
Manana is best known for his long-standing association with the Pokémon anime series in Portugal. He is the voice of the character Cilan, a role he has performed across multiple series and films, including Pokémon: Black and White, Pokémon: Black and White: Rival Destinies, and the movie Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice. His work on the franchise, however, extends far beyond this single character. He has voiced numerous other roles in the Pokémon universe over many years, including Barry, Conway, Gary Oak, Alain, Monsieur Pierre, and Tupp, demonstrating his versatility across different generations of the series.
