Takafumi Kawakami is a Japanese voice actor from Osaka Prefecture, born on December 3. He is affiliated with the talent agency Still Wood Garden. Standing 164 cm tall with blood type B, his personal interests include billiards, reading, and watching movies, and he is skilled at playing the trombone. He is also proficient in the Kansai region dialects of Osaka and Kyoto.

Kawakami's career in anime began in 2004, and for many years he was primarily known for voicing numerous minor characters and supporting roles in a wide variety of series. His filmography from this period includes brief appearances in long-running and popular shows such as Today in Class 5-2, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, D.Gray-man, Death Note, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, Naruto Shippuden, and Black Butler, where he voiced the character James. He also had recurring minor roles in series like Major, Gin Tama, and Pokémon.

One of his more prominent early roles was as Shingo Todoroki in the 2010 anime Ladies versus Butlers!.
