Motoyuki Kawahara is a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Best Position. His birth date is July 24th, and he is 180cm tall with blood type A. His hobbies include listening to music and reading, and he holds a black belt in judo, holding the rank of shodan.

Kawahara began his career affiliated with Media Force and later moved to Soft Link Production before joining Best Position. He secured his first main role in the video game Super Robot Wars NEO, voicing the character Kakeru Inaba.

He is perhaps best known for his role as Kazuomi Hirasawa, a key member of the Eden of the East group, in the anime series Eden of the East and its subsequent films, The King of Eden and Paradise Lost. His other notable anime roles include appearances in Bleach as Shinobu Eishima, Gintama as a turtle soldier, Kurozuka as Manbi, and The Rising of the Shield Hero as a knight.

In addition to anime, Kawahara has an extensive body of work in video game voice acting and dubbing foreign films and dramas. His video game roles are numerous and include Rage and Otto van Dalsen in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Stormeye in Arknights, the character Levania in Nier Re[in]carnation, various roles in multiple Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions games, and Worldmind in the Japanese dub of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. He also provided the voice for Ryu Kurosawa in the visual novel No, Thank You!!. His dubbing work includes the role of Trevor James in the Japanese version of the film Snowden.

Notably, Kawahara is an avid player of the game Arknights, in which he also voices the character Stormeye. He has mentioned that he is among a small percentage of players on the Japanese server who have successfully cleared all high-difficulty Contingency Contract events up to a certain point.
