Ayana Sasagawa

Ayana Sasagawa is a Japanese voice actor born on November 3, 1983, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the talent management firm Production Baobab. Sasagawa began her career in the early 2000s, with one of her first credited roles being a nurse in the 2003 television anime E'S Otherwise.
Sasagawa is most recognized for her long-running portrayal of Kazumi Asakura across the entire Negima! multimedia franchise. She first took on the role of the inquisitive class reporter in the 2005 television anime Mahou Sensei Negima!. She reprised this role consistently for over a decade, including in the sequel series Negima!? (2006) and its associated spring and summer OVA specials, the original video animation series Mahō Sensei Negima!: Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba (2008) and Mahō Sensei Negima!: Mō Hitotsu no Sekai (2009), and the 2011 theatrical film Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final. Her association with the character also extended to video games, such as Negima!? Neo-Pactio Fight!!, and she later made a guest appearance as Asakura in a 2017 episode of the sequel series UQ Holder!.
Beyond her signature role in Negima!, Sasagawa's other anime credits include roles such as Takada in the 2007 series CODE-E and Nakase Hitomi in an episode of Hell Girl: Two Mirrors (2006). She also contributed voice work to the OVA series Eien no Aseria (2005) and蜜X蜜DROPS. In addition to voice acting, Sasagawa performed theme songs for the Negima! anime, contributing to opening and ending themes for both the original 2005 series and Negima!?. Her personal interests include reading, taking walks, and watching films.
