Hazuki Tanaka is a former Japanese voice actor born on August 20, 1976, in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. She is primarily known for her work in the anime franchise Mahō Sensei Negima! Tanaka was active in the voice acting industry during the 2000s and was affiliated with a blood type of A.
Tanaka's most prominent and defining role was as the voice of Ku Fei, the energetic Chinese martial artist student in the Class 2/3-A, across the entire Negima! multimedia franchise. She first voiced the character in the 2005 Negima! television anime series and continued in the role for its sequel, Negima!? in 2006. She also voiced Ku Fei in the original video animation series Negima!? Spring OVA and Negima!? Summer OVA, as well as the later OVA series Mahō Sensei Negima!: Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba and Mahō Sensei Negima!: Mō Hitotsu no Sekai. In addition to providing the character's voice, Tanaka contributed to the musical aspect of the franchise by performing theme songs for the various Negima! anime series.
Beyond her signature role in the Negima! series, Tanaka's voice acting career included a few other anime appearances. She had a minor role as M in a single episode of the fantasy series The Melody of Oblivion and as the Vice President of the Kenran Seitokai in an episode of Best Student Council. She was also credited for a role as a child in the Sakura Taisen: Le Nouveau Paris original video animation.
In June 2010, Hazuki Tanaka retired from her role as Ku Fei in the Negima! series. Her departure was due to her plans to study abroad for a short term, as well as her impending marriage. Following her retirement from voice acting, the role of Ku Fei was taken over by Kana Asumi.
