Ilaria Giorgino is an Italian voice actor and dialogue adapter, born in Treviso on April 10, 1972. She began her career in the dubbing industry in 1994 and has since built an extensive portfolio, lending her voice to a wide array of characters in anime, animated films, and live-action productions. Her work as an adapter of Italian dialogue for films and television series began in 1999.
Giorgino's foundational training includes attending the School of Theatre and Commedia dell'Arte at the Avogaria in Venice, followed by a year of study with Shelley Mitchell, a former student of Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio in New York.
She is particularly well-known among anime fans for her numerous voice roles in the Italian adaptations of popular series. Some of her most notable characters include the young boy Yohei Yamada in the beloved cat-centric series Chi's Sweet Home, the fairy Mupu in the magical girl film Pretty Cure Splash Star - Le leggendarie guerriere, and Kei Miyanoshita in the horror comedy series Ghost Stories (known in Italian as Fantasmi a scuola). Her repertoire also includes Ai Tanabe in Full Metal Panic!, Haruka Kaminogi in Noein, Emiri Kimidori in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Chiharu Tanaka in Lovely Complex.
Beyond anime, Giorgino has voiced a variety of characters in Western animation. These roles include Lee Kanker in Ed, Edd & Eddy, Arlene in The Garfield Show, and Beauty in Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Her live-action dubbing work is equally extensive, with notable credits including providing the Italian voice for actress Rebel Wilson in films such as Pitch Perfect 2, Pitch Perfect 3, and Isn't It Romantic, as well as for Lucy Davis as Etta Candy in Wonder Woman.
