Kyōka Moriya

Description
Kyōka Moriya is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on May 22, 1995, in Azumino, Nagano Prefecture. She is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. Moriya began her entertainment career in elementary school, appearing as a child actress in commercials and television series, which required her to commute between her hometown and Tokyo. During high school, she moved to Matsumoto, Nagano. She later transitioned to voice acting after being encouraged by her agency to pursue it, successfully passing a voice acting audition. Her distinctive voice was a factor in this career shift.

In 2019, Moriya became a member of the music group Dialogue, a unit composed of voice actresses. That same year, she was cast as Shiho Kano in the mobile game Cue!, a role she would later reprise. Her first major anime role came in 2020 when she voiced Hemo Midori in the series Dropout Idol Fruit Tart. For this series, she also performed as one of the theme song singers as part of the in-universe idol group Fruit Tart, alongside her fellow cast members. In 2022, she returned to the role of Shiho Kano for the anime television adaptation of Cue!. Looking ahead to 2025, Moriya is set to voice Ellie Walker in the anime Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter and Michiru Kusagakure in A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof.

As a member of the music unit Dialogue, Moriya is part of a recurring collaboration of voice actresses who perform together. Her involvement in the Dropout Idol Fruit Tart theme songs also represents a collaboration with the other main cast members of that series. Beyond her voice work, Moriya is known to have skills in handicrafts and calligraphy and is a fan of professional wrestling and anime.
