Miyuu Sawai
Description
Miyuu Sawai is a Japanese actress and voice actress affiliated with the agency BOX CORPORATION. She was born on October 23, 1987, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Sawai began her entertainment career in 2001 after being scouted as a model, initially working for the fashion magazine Love Berry. Her voice acting debut came in 2005 when she provided the voice for the character Noah in the animated film Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa.
In anime voice acting, Sawai has taken on a variety of supporting roles. In the series Sōkyū no Fafner Behind the Line, she plays the character Olga Katina Betrenko, a role she also performed in the earlier series Sōkyū no Fafner Exodus. She voiced the character known only as V in the 2007 anime series GR-GIANT ROBO-. Her work in the Pokémon franchise includes the role of Ayaka, known as Astrid in the English version, in the Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special I and subsequent specials.
Other notable anime roles in her career include Layla in Black Cat, Claude in Concrete Revolutio and its second season The Last Song, Beth Muscat in Macross Delta, and Shinobu in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Beyond voice acting, Sawai is widely recognized for her live-action roles, most notably as the lead character Usagi Tsukino in the 2003 television series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.
