Ron Halder is a Canadian actor and voice actor born on July 13, 1953, with a career spanning from the 1970s to the present. Before becoming widely known for his voice work in animated series, Halder built a strong foundation in theatre, performing extensively across Canada in productions ranging from Shakespearean roles like Claudius in Hamlet and Edmund in King Lear to playing Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. He also worked extensively in live-action television, with guest appearances on popular series such as The X-Files, Stargate SG-1, and Highlander: The Series.

In the realm of anime and animation, Halder is recognized for his versatility, frequently providing voices for characters who are eccentric doctors or professors, kindly older mentors, or hard and malicious men. His extensive filmography includes a wide range of roles in English dubs of Japanese anime. Some of his most notable credits include voicing Don Wei in Oban Star-Racers, William Sutherland in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, and Roger Ruvie in Death Note.
