Tomoyo Harada is a Japanese actress, singer, and lyricist who was born in Nagasaki, Japan, on November 28, 1967. While she is primarily known for her extensive work in live-action film and television, as well as her successful music career, her professional activities have also included voice acting in animated projects.

Harada began her career in the entertainment industry in 1982 and rose to prominence as a popular idol in the 1980s. Her first foray into voice acting for animation came in 1983 with the feature film Harmagedon, also known as Genma Taisen. In this science fiction anime, she provided the voice for the character Tao. The following year, in 1984, she voiced the character Kate in the adventure film Shōnen Keniya, known in English as Kenya Boy.

In 1986, she voiced the role of Nanako Kitashiro in the anime series Seito Shokun!. Her other known voice roles from this period include providing narration for the 1997 film adaptation of Toki o Kakeru Shōjo, a story in which she had starred as the lead actress in the 1983 live-action version. Decades later, she returned to anime voice work with the role of Mother in the 2010 animated film Heart and Yummie.

Throughout her career, Harada has been recognized for her talent in acting, winning awards such as the best newcomer award from the Hochi Film Award and the best actress award at the Yokohama Film Festival for her live-action performances. Her voice roles, while fewer in number compared to her live-action appearances, are part of a diverse and enduring career in the Japanese entertainment industry that spans from the 1980s to the present day.
