Taimei Suzuki was a veteran Japanese voice actor and actor, born on March 9, 1935. He was a graduate of Nihon University. His career in the entertainment industry began in the 1960s, with his voice acting debut in the landmark anime series Astro Boy in 1963. He also became a familiar presence in early tokusatsu productions, providing voices for shows like Ultra Q and Ultraman. In Ultraman, he is specifically remembered for voicing the iconic alien Dada.

Suzuki's career spanned several decades, during which he built an extensive filmography across anime, Western animation dubs, and video games. In the late 1960s, he took on prominent roles in seminal anime, such as Tiger the Great, also known as Miracle 3, in the 1969 series Tiger Mask. The 1970s saw him in classic titles like Tomorrow's Joe, Devilman as Kousaku Makimura, and Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. He continued to work prolifically through the 1980s and 1990s, with roles in influential series such as Legend of the Galactic Heroes as Edwin Fischer, City Hunter, and the Mobile Suit Gundam films.

In his later career, Suzuki remained active, taking on roles in major productions of the 2000s. He voiced Jūzō Kabuto in Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact! in 2009, a role specifically noted by the user. He was also a recurring presence in the acclaimed Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex franchise, voicing the character Kubota in the first and second seasons, including the 2nd GIG, as well as in the associated films Solid State Society. His other notable later roles include Professor Kronecker in Monster, Bokuseno in InuYasha, and Kaiser in the Pokémon anime.

Throughout his long career, Suzuki frequently collaborated with a wide circle of fellow voice actors.
