Over a career spanning more than four decades, Pena has become one of the most prominent figures in Galician dubbing. Her work is characterized by a deep commitment to the Galician language, asserting that all forms of expression are possible in it. Within the realm of animation and anime, Pena is recognized for voicing the character Misae Nohara, the mother of the titular character, in the Galician-language dubs of the Crayon Shin-chan film series. This role has made her a familiar voice to audiences who grew up watching the films in Galicia. Pena has expressed a deep fondness for the character, noting the enjoyment she derived from performing the role and expressing pride that audiences appreciate hearing Misae speak in Galician. Her work on this long-running series represents a significant and beloved part of her career.
In recognition of her contributions to the dubbing profession and her role in promoting Galician language and culture, Pena was honored with the AISGE Foundation Honorary Award at the 30th Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) in September 2025.
