Chisato Nakajima is a Japanese actress and voice actress born on March 10, 1961, in Ōmiya-ku, Saitama. She is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production and is a graduate of the agency's training school, Aoni Juku, where she was part of its first graduating class. Her career began in the early 1980s. Nakajima is known for her association with the Kinnikuman franchise. She provided voices for multiple characters in the original anime series, including Mari Nikaidō and Alisa Mackintosh. Her work in this franchise extended to its films and specials. She voiced Princess Marron in the 1984 television special Kinnikuman: Kessen! Shichinin no Seigi Chōjin vs. Uchū Nobushi and in several Kinnikuman movies from 1984 to 1986. She also played a young Kinnikuman and Terryman in specific episodes, as well as various background children. She is recognized as the long-term Japanese voice of Percy the Small Engine in the series Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, a role she held from seasons one through eight. Her dubbing work for this franchise also included voicing Clarabel and providing voices for other characters in the film Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Her other anime television roles include Magical Angel Creamy Mami as Miya Nakahara, Miyuki as Yuko Mizumori, Saint Seiya as Esmeralda, Maple Town as the first voice of Judy, and City Hunter 2 as Maiko. In the 2000s, her credits included minor roles in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED as traffic controllers and in Detective Conan, where she voiced several different characters, including Nao Aikou and Hideko Kobayakawa. She also had a recurring role as Yoriko in Cheeky Angel. In addition to animation, Nakajima has contributed to video games, most notably as Maina Yasuda in Neo Graduation and its sequel Graduation Vacation. She has also been involved in puppetry and children's programs, such as providing the first voice for the character Shimajiro in the Kodomo Challenge educational series. Her hobbies include painting, singing, and playing tennis.
