Alberto Olivero is an Italian voice actor and stage actor, primarily known for his prolific work in the dubbing of anime and video games for the Italian market. He was born in Turin, Italy, on November 22, 1959. His career in the performing arts began in the 1980s, during which he acted in films, television dramas, and theatre productions with companies such as the TAG Teatro di Mestre and the Teatro Stabile di Torino. He also worked in radio, participating in radio dramas and readings for the RAI and RTSI broadcasters.

Olivero began dubbing smaller roles in films and anime in the 1990s. His most defining role came in 1996 at Merak Film, when he was chosen by dubbing director Paolo Torrisi to be the Italian voice of the adult Piccolo for the Mediaset broadcasts of the Dragon Ball series. He would go on to voice the character in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and the first 27 episodes of Dragon Ball Super. In addition to his work on Dragon Ball, Olivero's extensive voice acting career includes a wide array of other prominent anime roles. He provided voices for the Case Closed franchise, including Gin and Vodka. He also contributed to One Piece, voicing characters such as Chess and the third narrator, and had roles in series like Slam Dunk, Wedding Peach, and Yu degli spettri. Beyond anime, Olivero was also a very active voice in the video game industry, lending his voice to numerous major titles.
