Yves Beneyton

Description
Yves Beneyton, a French actor with a career spanning stage, film, and television, has also contributed his voice to a small number of animated projects. He was born on August 2, 1946, in Baden-Baden, Germany. Trained under Tania Balachova in the mid-1960s, he began his career on the stage before moving to film, with early roles in works by Jean-Luc Godard. He gained recognition for his performance in the 1976 film La Dentellière.

While primarily known for his live-action work, Beneyton's voice acting credits include the role of Kester in the 2007 Japanese CGI film Appleseed: Ex Machina, for its French dubbed version. His other work in animation is limited. He is also credited as the voice of the father in the children's series Angelina Ballerina. Additionally, he provided the French voice for Wallace in the 1995 animated short Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave.

A significant portion of Beneyton's voice work has been in dubbing foreign live-action productions into French. He has been the regular French voice for actors such as William H. Macy, Brent Spiner (notably as Data in the Star Trek: The Next Generation films), and Joe Pantoliano, among many others. This extensive dubbing career, however, only rarely intersected with voice work for anime or other animated productions.
