Description
Fernanda Baronne, previously known professionally as Fernanda Fernandes, is a Brazilian voice actress, dubbing director, and theater actress. She was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1977 and began her career in dubbing in 1990. She is the daughter of dubbing director and voice actress Marlene Costa and the sister of voice actress Flavia Saddy. Her early career included dubbing the character Valéria in the Mexican telenovela Carrossel in 1991, a production notable for using child actors to voice child characters. Her theatrical training includes studies at the Escola de Teatro Martins Pena.

Baronne has a extensive portfolio in anime and animation. In anime, she is known for providing the Brazilian Portuguese voice for Tsugumi Higashijuujou in Cyber Team in Akihabara, Yashichi in Mirmo Zibang!, and Momoko Koigakubo in Ghost Stories. Other prominent anime roles include Aeka in Tenchi Muyo!, multiple characters across the Digimon franchise including Tanemon and Palmon, and various roles in the Power Rangers series. In Western animation, she has voiced leading characters such as the title role in Kim Possible, Vampira in X-Men and X-Men: Evolution, Cinderella in the Disney sequels, Velma in several Scooby-Doo series, and Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania films.

Beyond animation, Baronne has become the standard Brazilian Portuguese voice for several Hollywood actresses, including Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Garner, Eva Green, Charlize Theron, and Kaley Cuoco, the latter for the character Penny in The Big Bang Theory. Her work also extends to live-action series dubs for productions such as Alias, One Tree Hill, and Orange Is the New Black.

In recognition of her work, Baronne received the Prêmio Yamato, considered the Oscar of dubbing in Brazil, for Best Voice Actress in 2006 for her role as Kim Possible. She changed her artistic name from Fernanda Fernandes to Fernanda Baronne in 2011 to avoid confusion with another actress working in theater.
